How are Behavior Consultants camps different?

Navigating social relationships can be difficult for individuals on the autism spectrum, or those experiencing other developmental or behavioral challenges. Using the principles and teaching procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our camp is designed to provide some direction for situations which may prove difficult such as how to handle conflict, teasing/bullying, initiating conversations/play with peers, etc. The following strategies may be used to target a variety of social situations:

• Modeling
• Role Play
• Feedback
• Positive Reinforcement

Each day you will leave with a summary of the lesson of the day, as well as the level of understanding your child demonstrated of the topic so you are aware of the follow-up that may be useful at home

In addition to the specific lessons provided, camp will be filled with games, activities, fun, and friends!

Social Skills Summer Camp Dates and Pricing:

We are introducing two separate start and stop times. The younger group will be run from 9-1 and the older group will run from 9:30-1:30. Your child will be assigned a group upon intake. This will happen over the phone a few weeks prior to camp. Additionally, we are offering a field trip option on Thursdays. If your child attends the field trip, pick up will be at 4 pm on Thursday(s).
