Mary is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and full-time special education teacher. She leads a self-contained elementary classroom for students with autism, specializing in supporting nonverbal learners. Mary integrates her expertise in behavior analysis into daily instruction to promote communication, independence, and meaningful progress. As part of our West Side Clinical Team, Mary has been with Behavior Consultants Inc. since 2023 and works to support her clients outside of school hours.

Mary earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Grand Valley State University and her master’s degree in Special Education from Central Michigan University. She later decided to continue her education in Applied Behavior Analysis and completed her Behavior Analysis coursework through the Florida Institute of Technology, becoming Board Certified in 2023. In addition to her BCBA certification, Mary holds state endorsements in Cognitive Impairment, Emotional Impairment, and Autism.

Mary is especially passionate about empowering families. She views parent education as a vital part of her work—teaching practical behavioral strategies with the goal of “working herself out of a job.” Outside of her work as a teacher and behavior analyst, Mary enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
